Established in 1989, the Oyster Shack in Bigbury is one of the best Devon restaurants for seafood. Located in Knowstone, this picturesque 13th century inn boasts one Michelin Star for its delicious British cuisine. The Masons Arms serves classic dishes like duck breast, fish dishes and beef brisket, with a range of starters. It has a la carte dining as well as set lunches.

The Riverford Field Kitchen

This award-winning restaurant in Buckfastleigh specialises in farm to fork dining. Vegetables and herbs are picked daily from the restaurant’s farm and garden and menus change depending on what’s growing. The food is seasonal and organic, and although grass-reared meat and sustainable fish are also on the menu, the highlights are the organic veggies. The dining experience is quite unique, as you’ll share tables with other diners and dishes are served in one long flow.
