Whether you are planning an upcoming birthday celebration or looking for a last-minute holiday, Back in Thyme is perfect for a romantic Essex weekend break. This cosy shepherd hut at Blackbrook Lodges has its own private hot tub.

Whilst relaxing on your weekend break, enjoy a countryside walk or explore the farm and meet the animals. You will find alpacas, donkeys, ponies and chickens and a resident cat.

The accommodation is beautifully arranged with the luxurious hot tub located just a few steps away from the door. There’s also a chiminea outside for a crackling fire to enjoy in the evening.

Guests are requested to keep music volume to a minimum as we have animals/other guests staying on the farm.

In the Local Area within walking distance, you can reach 2 pubs. If you need some self-catering supplies there’s also a local shop. Blackbrook Lodges is situated on The Essex Way, a long-distance footpath 81 miles long. The trail starts in Epping in the southwest, crosses Dedham Vale and Constable country to finish at the port of Harwich on the Stour estuary.

We also have Animal feed on site at a cost of £1 per bag. You can purchase the food and have a walk around the farm and feed the animals. Each bag is labelled up for each set of animals.
