Registry Office Weddings have never been more popular, offering couples a good value, religious-free and flexible alternative to a traditional church wedding. Unlike getting wed in a church, you are legally entitled to marry at any registry office in Wales and England, even if you don’t live nearby. Remember that you must still give your notice of intention to marry at the registry office(s) where each of you live – your Wedding Licence will be valid for twelve months from the date of issue but many Registry Offices don’t take bookings more than three months in advance.

Most registrars are flexible in allowing the couple to personalise their service with individual vows, music, flowers and decorations but make sure you check with them before-hand.
