INAUGURAL CONCERT @ WESTLETON CHURCH

Anne Page a founder of the Cambridge Academy of Organ Studies and internationally known recitalist plays the first concert on the new organ at Westleton Church. Her recital includes music by Handel, J S Bach, Mendelssohn, Lionel Rogg and a piece by Elis Pehkonen commissioned for this opening recital. With the sweet singing tone of the organs of the classical period of organ building in England as well as a majestic quality to the fuller organ, the organ conserves at its heart one of the largest corpuses of early-mid nineteenth century pipework in the eastern region.
