Castle to Cold War

This day-school examines the topography, settlement patterns, field systems and buildings which give Suffolk its distinctive historic landscape character, and explains the methods and techniques which can be used to ‘read’ the history of the land and coast scape around us. Based in the historic coastal town of Orford, the theory of the morning session will be complemented by an afternoon walking tour.

Dr. Richard Hoggett FSA MCiFA is a freelance heritage consultant, writer and lecturer specialising in heritage planning.
