Cyanotype Printing onto Fabric and Paper with Hans Rahn
A morning workshop creating unique artworks. At the crossroads between photography and printing, Cyanotypes are made using sunlight/ UV Light and paper coated in a light sensitive solution, to create an image. The process creates a picture of archival quality in a distinctive rich blue. During the morning participants will be able to explore and experiment with basics techniques and be shown ways to enhance and develop their work. Cyanotypes were originally used to create “Blueprints’ for engineers and designers and are now used by contemporary artists to create unique artworks. No previous experience is necessary
You could always book onto the Drum lampshade making working taking place on the same day (6th July 2024) but in the afternoon.
