A Hundred Strings in Oxford: Two Strings, One Pulse

On 18 November A Hundred Strings comes to the Holywell Music Room, Oxford. Grammy-nominated sitarist Adnan Khan plays in the gayaki ang, Vinay Desai plays the santoor as a disciple of Padma Vibhushan Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, and Ustad Akram Khan of the Ajrada gharana plays tabla for both. Adnan Khan plucks the sitar and slides between notes. Vinay Desai strikes the santoor and moves in runs. Doors 6:45 PM, music 7 PM to 9:30 PM (GMT). Early bird £25 until 3 November, then £30.
