Meadows come alive in summer, the air buzzes with the calls of grasshoppers and crickets while colourful butterflies and moths fit between wildflowers and birds of prey can often be seen hovering above hunting for small mammals hidden beneath the grass.
Join Lee Valley Regional Park staff for a walk around the grasslands of Gunpowder Park to take a closer look at some of the plants and animals that live there and find out what the Park is doing to help manage and protect these important habitats.
Please wear comfortable footwear and suitable clothes for the weather as the walk will take a few hours.
We would advise that. this event is suitable for adults but interested children from 8+ are welcome.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
There are only 25 spaces on this walk, so make sure you book your space early.
There is ample parking at Gunpowder Park, parking charges apply.
