Enamelling and Encaustic Art
An opportunity to explore two different jewellery disciplines in one weekend. Vitreous Enamelling is an ancient technique which works by fusing powdered glass to copper by firing in a small kiln, using both opaque and transparent glass you will create some beautiful and unique pieces.
In the Enamelling Class we will fuse glass to metal to make jewellery or decorative objects and on the second day we will use Encaustic art techniques to make molten wax pictures – which are great for making cards as well as pictures to hang on your wall.
In this weekend you could make a piece of jewellery as a gift and a card to go with it!
