Summer is just around the corner and thousands of people across the UK are planning their next vacation. This year, why not swap expensive flights for a relaxing drive to the British coastline and make the most of the stunning scenery that is on our doorstep!

St Ives

St Ives is also known as the ‘dazzling jewel’ of Cornwall. The seaside town earned this name by being one of the most beautiful coastlines in the UK, boasting six golden beaches that make up the north of the Cornish coast. The beaches at St Ives are easily accessible for tourists and have plenty on offer for all to enjoy.

If you’re looking to unwind, St Ives sandy beaches are the perfect place to sit with a book and enjoy the summer sun. If you’re looking for a more adventurous getaway, the town has a variety of exciting water sports and activities for you to try during your stay.

If you head to the west of Wales, you will find the glorious Pembrokeshire coastline. This stunning coast stretches for 186 miles and offers some of the most breathtaking coastal views in the UK. There are plenty of golden beaches to choose from along the coastline including Pendine Sands, Whitesands and Barafundle Bay. In fact, Tenby beach is also situated along this beautiful stretch of beach!

Pembrokeshire is a county that has become famous for its magnificent coastline. If you want to experience the whole coast, you could take on the infamous Pembrokeshire coast path which is an idyllic hiking route, perfect for adventure seekers!

As well as beaches, there are a number of stunning towns dotted along the coastline for you to stay in during your visit. The county is popular with tourists so there is also an abundance of restaurants, shops and activities.

Brighton

If you have your heart set on a traditional English seaside holiday, Brighton in East Sussex may just be the best place to go! This vibrant town is situated in the South-East of England and offers a 4 mile promenade and pretty pebble beach. As well as this, the town is home to the infamous Brighton Pier which hosts a range of fun activities all year round! In the summer, you will find a fairground at the far end of the Pier which has rides for all ages.

The town of Brighton has a lot to offer! From the pretty beach to the huge variety of independent shops, a week spent in Brighton will never get boring. Blackpool

Blackpool

If you fancy heading away from the South, Blackpool beach is a glorious coastline in Lancashire in the Northwest of England. There are a number of great spots to choose from including the famous Pleasure Beach and Blackpool promenade. The beaches are covered in golden sands and make the perfect location for a post of sunbathing or swimming.

If you get tired of having sand in your toes, you would take a stroll up the North Pier where you will find a Victorian Theatre, Carousel and a variety of tourist shops. There is plenty to see and do on your trip to Blackpool.
